As part of Trimble's distribution network, Frontier Precision and VERTEC provide robotic total stations, 3D laser scanners and all related hardware and software for data collection and analysis. Systems are available for purchase and/or rental.  Our commercial, residential, and manufacturing clients instantly become more efficient and profitable by using these tools for layout, quality control, as-built recording, and visualization throughout the building process. We provide all of the tools, software, training, and support that contractors need for a simple, turn-key setup with no surprises, except how quickly they receive the benefits of using these systems.

VERTEC has developed industry leading curriculums for training on total stations and 3D laser scanners. Participants learn the technical operation of their system in addition to the best practices required to produce the highest level of consistent, precision performance. These systems are incredibly robust, but they have limitations. We examine these limitations so that participants can learn to work within these constraints to deliver reliable, repeatable results.

Our delivery is not a “death-by-PowerPoint” agony, but a fun and interactive hands-on collaboration. Each training session is tailored to meet the specific needs of the participants covering complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and apply. It is best to include a jobsite visit during the training so that the team can be productive with the system while learning how to use it. When the training days are complete, we provide materials that guide self-paced discovery of additional system capabilities beyond the immediate, jobsite need. Our training clients have access to ongoing phone support to continue learning and troubleshooting.
