BIM Coordination & VDC

While providing BIM coordination and VDC services we come alongside contractors as an advocate that promotes stakeholder collaboration to produce constructable, virtual structures minimizing on-site delays from system clashes.  We refine project models to the required level of detail (LOD) and combine them into a single, federated model for analysis and adjustment.

Our typical services include:

• Receive project models (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, etc.) in Revit or IFC formats.

• Refine the models as required to provide constructible systems.

• Combine the refined models into a single, federated model for analysis.

• Participate in regular (weekly) BIM Coordination Meetings with the construction team while offering proposals for clash resolutions.

• Identify clashes and track issues related to coordination efforts.

• Convert systems to fabrication parts as needed with input from the contractors.

• Ensure that the systems meet local code requirements with assistance from the contractors.

• Provide hanger locations and penetrations as specified by the contractors.

• Provide coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing models in Revit and/or IFC & DWG formats.​
